IMAP is pleased to announce that INVERLINK - IMAP Colombia has advised ALERE Advisors on the acquisition of an indirect stake in Agropecuaria Aliar.

ALERE Advisors is an asset management and advisory firm, affiliated to INICIA, located in the Dominican Republic. It specializes in the Food, Beverages and Retail sectors, focusing on the northern Latin American region.

Agropecuaria Aliar is the leader in both the production and commercialization of pork in Colombia through its brand La Fazenda. The company has a vertically integrated production chain, starting with grain production through to the direct sale of pork to the consumer.

The primary goal of this transaction is to scale-up and expand the La Fazenda business. The deal is also expected to enhance the Colombian Agro-industrial sector by advancing the growth of a prominent protein producer, whose successful business model is highly innovative and unique in the region.
