Vitale (IMAP Italy) assisted Banco Desio in the signing of an agreement with BPER Banca for the acquisition of two business units consisting of a total of 48 bank branches located in Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Tuscany and Sardinia.

The business units are characterised by an aggregated amount of loans to customers, deposits from customers, AuM and AuA of approximately Euro 4.0 billion as of 31 December 2021 and over 78,000 customers.

The acquisition of the business units is in line with Banco Desio Group's strategic plan, that aims at further consolidating the Banco Desio Group's business activities as a local bank focused on the following customer segments: SMEs, affluent and wealth management. The transaction will increase the number of customers by 20%, total loans by 12% and total funding by 9%.
