IMAP advised SCIO Automation GmbH on the acquisition of the AUTKOM group

SCIO Automation GmbH, based in Frankenthal and majority owned by Quadriga Capital, acquired the AUTKOM group. A good seven months after the merger of the Schiller and VESCON Groups, SCIO is focusing on the further expansion of the newly founded automation platform as an automation expert through the acquisition of AUTKOM. With this acquisition, SCIO will be able to offer their customers an even broader range of products and services.

As a medium-sized platform in the field of industrial automation technology and related engineering services, SCIO combines niche suppliers with decades of experience in their respective fields of activity. Customers come from the automotive, intralogistics, chemical, clean rooms and electronics, life science and medical technology industries as well as Energy Supply and Environmental Technology sectors.

AUTKOM specialises in planning, construction and commissioning of complete automation solutions, including electrical engineering systems with a significant focus on software development for spot-on control and process control systems. Both of AUTKOM’s managing directors will remain operationally responsible and will continue to lead the company. AUTKOM will be able to profit from the many group-wide benefits and will be supported by SCIO in the forward-looking strategic development as part of the larger automation platform.
