JAS is a leading family-owned global freight forwarder headquartered in the USA operating in more than 100 countries globally.
IAA is a unique acquisition for JAS, offering a strong foothold in the Dutch airfreight market and expertise in perishables logistics. This acquisition aligns with JAS’ strategic goals, strengthens its presence in a key geography, and expands its foothold in the perishables vertical.
JAS Worldwide, founded in Milan, Italy in 1978 and currently headquartered in Atlanta, USA, is a global leader in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions. The company specialises in providing comprehensive logistics services, including air, ocean, and land transportation, with a strong emphasis on innovative, sustainable, and unique customer solutions. With over 7,000 employees and operating across more than 100 countries, JAS has established a robust international presence. Since 2021, JAS accelerated its growth strategy to become one of the largest freight forwarders globally, completing several strategic acquisitions to expand its global footprint and service offerings.
IAA is the leading airfreight forwarder in the Netherlands, specialising in time-critical and perishable goods, offering primarily airfreight forwarding services. Founded in 2004, the company serves verticals such as fruits, vegetables, and fresh-cut flowers as well as general cargo. IAA employs approx. 100 people and operates from strategic locations in Schiphol, Rotterdam, Frankfurt, and Hannover. The company leverages various vertical expert teams and seasoned leadership to drive growth in resilient perishables markets. The company ships approx. 85,000 tonnes of airfreight annually, being the second largest airfreight forwarder in the Netherlands (based on IATA information).
