In April 2021, the sale of a 100% stake in Fonyódi Ásványvíz to a group of Hungarian private investors was successfully completed.

Fonyódi Ásványvíz and its legal predecessor have been bottling mineral water on the southern shore of Lake Balaton since the 1960s under the widely known Fonyódi brand name. In addition to the natural and carbonated versions, Fonyód's products also include flavored spring waters.

In the process, the Seller, the Croatian-based Fortenova Group (formerly Agrokor), which has owned the company since 2004, wanted to reorganize its operations in Hungary. As part of the reorganization, the distribution business of Jana, which also belongs to the company and is exclusively engaged in the distribution of Jana products in Hungary, was outsourced, while the Fonyód spring bottling business was sold to a group of Hungarian private investors in a competitive sales process.
