Carlos Garcia is the Founder and Managing Director of SUMMA Asesores Financieros (IMAP Peru) and has accumulated over 30 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, capital markets and investments. Prior to establishing the firm, he spent 14 years in Corporate Banking at US banks including Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of New England, leading their portfolio in various Latin American countries.

Carlos has led and completed over 140 investment banking transactions, totaling US$3.6 billion. He has developed, structured and executed various investments for various institutions and acts as an Independent Director in 28 different companies. In 1993 he became one of the Founding Members of Interinves,t while also acting as Advisor to the Shareholders of the Interbank Group.

He has extensive sector experience in a multitude of areas including: Industrials, Energy, Infrastructure, Agribusiness, Finance and Health.

Carlos holds an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad del Pacifico. He also attended the Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
