As part of a succession solution, IMAP advised the shareholders of KUNSTSTOFF- UND FARBEN-GESELLSCHAFT mbh ('KFG'), a leading global specialist in the recycling and upcycling of polymethylmethacrylate ('PMMA', acrylic glass), on the sale of the company and found the ideal partner in suscepit GmbH. Armin Rombach, shareholder of suscepit GmbH, will take over the operational management of KFG and lead the company into the future.
Founded in 1973, KFG specialises in the recycling and upcycling of PMMA, which is mainly post-industrial waste sourced from a wide range of suppliers. The customer base for KFG's products - in particular fine powders, resins and self-polymers - spans the globe and includes the construction, healthcare and automotive sectors. Several thousand tonnes of material are processed each year by over 30 experienced employees.
“Thanks to the high level of commitment and the trustful cooperation with the IMAP team, we have succeeded in realising a promising succession solution for KFG. With Mr. Rombach, we have gained an experienced partner who, with his long-standing expertise, will lead KFG into a successful future,” explains Mr Geipert, former shareholder of KFG.
The IMAP team, consisting of Peter Bertling, Florian Böschen, Constantin vom Bauer and Dorian Ellminger, advised the shareholders of KFG exclusively in the structured M&A process through all phases to a successful closing.
