Gullbergs Kontorscenter AB has strengthened their market position in the west part of Sweden by acquiring the Halmstad based company Meijels Kontorscenter AB.

Gullberg is a leading supplier of office supplies with stores and sale offices in 11 cities across Sweden. The group was founded in 1936 and offer their customers solutions for everything within office materials.

Meijes is one of Halmstad´s oldest companies founded already in 1892 by the previous owners Björn and Olle Meijels great grandfather. Today, Meijels is a strong office supply warehouse selling everything from paper to larger office machines and computers. The company has 16 employees and anticipate revenue of 25 MSEK during 2007.

With the acquisition, finalized the 1st of January 2008, we are combining 2 strong competitors within office supply with clear market shares and competitive advantages, says Anders Bogren”, CEO for Gullbergs.  

The previous owners Olle and Björn Meijels will continue working within the company also after the change of owners.
