IMAP advised the shareholders of the POLI-TAPE Group, an internationally renowned manufacturer of high-quality graphic materials, on the majority sale to the Italian Fedrigoni Group. The former majority shareholder Sven Möhren will retain a significant stake to ensure a smooth transition. The POLI-TAPE management team, led by Mark Wehrmann, will continue to support long-standing customers and partners worldwide.
Founded in 1993, the family-owned company produces and sells high-quality textile transfer films, digital printing films, plotter and laminating films as well as adhesive films for labelling and advertising technology. With around 370 employees at production sites in Germany and Italy and a distribution centre in the USA, the POLI-TAPE Group supplies customers in more than 90 countries around the world.
Founded in 1888 in Verona, Italy, Fedrigoni is a leading global manufacturer of speciality papers for luxury packaging, self-adhesive labels and RFID/NFC solutions. With 5,500 employees in 28 countries and 73 factories, the group sells and distributes more than 25,000 products in 132 countries. " With this deal we are increasing our presence in attractive segments, such as textile and specialty graphics categories, as well as expanding our manufacturing capabilities," says Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni Group.
The IMAP team advised the shareholders of POLI-TAPE throughout the entire M&A process and supported them in negotiating and successfully closing the transaction.
