A Croatian company Metronet Telecommunications d.d. was established in May 2005, in Zagreb, in order to meet the complex communications needs of the Croatian economy. Metronet communications solutions are primarily intended for business users to support their activities with most different types of voice, data and video services. Metronet aims to become the leading provider of broadband solutions and services to business customers in Croatia and the region.

Metronet acquired an undisclosed majority stake in Vodatel.
