Rhiag S.p.A., part of LKQ Corporation acquired Sim Impex d.o.o. In almost 20 years of operating on the market, SiM Impex has established itself among leading wholesalers and retailers of automotive spare parts and equipment for passengers and light commercial vehicles in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The company’s current product range consists of more than 50,000 items supplied primarily by leading European producers of car parts, such as Bosch, TMD Friction (Textar), Sachs, Valeo, SNR, Gates, etc., and its product portfolio services more than 40 brands and types of European and Asian cars in the country. The company’s distribution is done through wholesale, retail, and web-based orders. In the recent years, the company’s growth has been coming from the development of the retail network, which has enabled the company to access customers directly. Additionally, the company is a member of GROUPAUTO International, a global automotive aftermarket partnership.

The Deal

IMAP was the exclusive advisor to the owner of SiM impex in the sale of a 100.00% share in the Company. With the acquisition of SiM impex, Rhiag S.p.A., a European member of LKQ Corporation, has ensured a market entry to Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of the first international players.
