Hedin Automotive Netherlands, part of the Swedish Hedin Mobility Group, has reached an agreement with BMW and MINI dealer Dubbelsteyn to acquire the company. The acquisition involves the dealership activities of BMW and MINI, including sales, aftersales, and parts distribution.
Following the acquisition of the BMW dealership group Renova in 2023, Hedin Automotive is further expanding its BMW and MINI network from five to seven locations. The acquisition will be carried out by Hedin Cars B.V., a subsidiary of Hedin Automotive B.V., and includes Dubbelsteyn Dordrecht and Dubbelsteyn Numansdorp.
BMW and MINI dealer Dubbelsteyn in Dordrecht and BMW dealer Dubbelsteyn in Numansdorp serve the regions of Dordrecht, Hoeksche Waard, Goeree Overflakkee, Barendrecht, and surrounding areas. With the acquisition of these two locations, Hedin Automotive further increases its market share in South Holland.
Eddy Haesendonck, CEO of Hedin Automotive Benelux, commented:
“We are delighted to add the two BMW locations and all Dubbelsteyn employees to our group. Together with our existing BMW and MINI representation in the South, we can significantly grow our market position for these brands in the Southwest Netherlands region. On behalf of all colleagues at Hedin Automotive, I warmly welcome the Dubbelsteyn team.”
The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
The team of IMAP Netherlands, consisting of Jan-Pieter Borst, Frank Ruijgrok, and Thomas Verhoeckx, exclusively advised the sellers during this transaction, supporting them throughout the preparation, negotiations, and successful closing of the deal.
