IMAP advised the European investment company Gimv on the sale of its majority stake in the KOEBERL Group, a leading provider of facility management and building services, to the Hungarian company B+N Referencia Zrt. ('B+N'). Armin and Karl Köberl, managing shareholders of KOEBERL Group, will continue in their present roles within the group.

The KOEBERL Group, based in Aschheim-Dornach near Munich, looks back on more than 120 years of history. Today, the company is an established partner in the fields of facility management and technical building services. With approx. 600 employees, the KOEBERL Group offers comprehensive solutions for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Thanks to its clear focus on quality and customer orientation, the group has established itself as a leading full-service provider.

In March 2020, the stock listed financial investor Gimv acquired a majority stake in the KOEBERL Group. Gimv has since worked closely with the Köberl family to accelerate the expansion and strategic development of the KOEBERL Group as well as its digitalization.

B+N is a leading facility management service provider in Central and Eastern Europe with a yearly turnover of more than €450 million, c. 28,000 employees and more than 16.8 million m² of managed space in 8 European countries. Following several acquisitions in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Italy, the acquisition of the KOEBERL Group enables the family-owned B+N to enter the German and Western European markets.
