Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. has launched a voluntary tender offer on all the ordinary shares of Società Cattolica di Assicurazione S.p.A. (including treasury shares and excluding the shares already owned by Generali) and addressed to all Cattolica’s shareholders.

Cattolica Assicurazioni is one of the main players in the Italian insurance market.

Vitale (IMAP Italy) has acted as financial advisor to Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lombardia, one of Cattolica Assicurazioni’s main shareholders, with regards to the analysis of the offer promoted by Generali and for the expression of a fairness opinion about the economic terms of the offer.
