IMAP M&A Consultants AG (‘IMAP’) is further expanding its advisory services and has gained an experienced debt advisory team and proven financing specialists consisting of Thorsten Schneider, Tom Winter and Stefan Kippes. With this addition, IMAP is strengthening its expertise in the area of structured financing enabling it to support clients in all phases of capital structuring and optimisation. In particular, entrepreneurial families, private equity investors, and corporates will benefit from even more comprehensive, one-stop advisory services.
The well-established team joins IMAP from Grant Thornton, where they have been working together since 2021. Thorsten Schneider, who will lead the Debt Advisory team as a Partner, is a Diplom-Bankbetriebswirt (graduate in banking) and has over 25 years of experience in structuring acquisition financing, refinancing and complex financing solutions for medium-sized companies and corporations. He previously worked for EY, HVB and Dresdner Bank and completed a banking apprenticeship at Kreissparkasse Gelnhausen before starting his studies.
He will be supported in a senior role by Tom Winter, who, as Director, is primarily responsible for executing complex financing projects and advising financial investors and entrepreneurial families. Tom Winter holds a degree in Business Administration and spent more than ten years in debt advisory at Deloitte prior to his time at Grant Thornton.
The team is completed by Stefan Kippes, who supports the analysis, preparation, and execution of financing transactions in his role as Associate. Stefan Kippes holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and previously worked for seven years at Sparkasse Bad Kissingen before starting his career in consulting.
“The addition of these proven financing specialists marks a significant step in the further development of our advisory services. In an increasingly complex financing environment, we can now support our clients even more effectively in structuring and negotiating tailored financing solutions,” said Peter Bertling, Henning Graw, and Carsten Lehmann, Board of Directors of IMAP.
Thorsten Schneider, together with Tom Winter and Stefan Kippes, is looking forward to the new challenge: “Thanks to its strong position in the German mid-market, IMAP is the ideal platform for us to bring our debt advisory expertise to an even broader client base. We are excited to work closely with our new M&A colleagues at IMAP.”
