Before joining Brasilpar in 2014, Marcio Fiuza was a Founding Partner of Vergent Partners, an M&A boutique with over 13 years of experience and R$15 billion of completed transactions. He has worked on transactions including the sale of Terna Participações for Cemig for R$2.3 billion and the sale of Cia Providência to a consortium of private equity funds for R$930 million.
Before founding Vergent, he was Vice President of the Global Communications Group of Bear Stearns, in New York, from 1997 to 2001. From 1985 to 1997, he worked at Vale do Rio Doce in various positions, including Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer of California Steel Industries and Corporate Strategic Planning in Rio de Janeiro.
Márcio has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and also holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
