Plastunion is Scandinavia’s leading supplier within highly automatized production of injection moulded products, produced in moulding tools that are developed, constructed and produced internally. The company has a turnover of 170 MSEK and employs 80 people.
The acquisition is part of KB Components long-term business plan with an objective of increasing customer value and reduces the cyclical sensitivity by creating a balance of light vehicles, heavy vehicles and other industries.
By the acquisition, KB components can offer both existing and new customers a complete solution for development and production of technologically advanced plastic components. The plant in Lithuania provides cost-effective production of labor intensive products while the plants in Örkelljunga, Anderstorp and Värnamo offer highly-automated production of technologically advanced products, specializing in automotive, medical and other industry. Turnover for the KB Components Group will after the acquisition amount to app. 600 MSEK.
