Rafiq is responsible for Uganda, based out of Verdant Capital’s Kampala office, and has additional responsibilities in the broader East Africa region. Rafiq previously worked in M&A at investment bank Lazard in North America, before moving to Kampala in 2017 where he performed C-level roles in tech-enabed credit businesses. Rafiq is a Canadian from the East African diaspora community.
