Auto Marti is now part of the Austrian Pappas Holding. Felix Marti has decided to integrate his company into a large international enterprise and thus create a successful future perspective. Pappas Holding is a company that is also family-owned and not only understands the fundamental values of Auto Marti holistically, but also lives them in this way.

The traditional family business was founded in 1848 by Jakob Rudolf Marti in Bern. Auto Marti AG is responsible for sales and service of the BMW and MINI brands as well as for the used car and spare parts business. At the Auto Marti AG locations in Bern-Niederwangen, Muri bei Bern and Thun, 107 employees are responsible for sales of approximately 1700 new and used cars per year. 

Obvious changes in the automotive industry have now prompted the owning family to redefine the future for the company. With structural changes in the dealership organization, the manufacturer sees fewer owners in the sales regions in the future. This requirement calls for a major growth of the company in terms of personnel and structure in the coming years. Felix and Julie Marti have jointly decided to hand over this task to a trustworthy company.

After thorough analysis in the board of directors the decision was made. Pappas Holding from Austria will be the new owner of Auto Marti AG. All parties involved, including BMW Switzerland, are pleased with this choice. As the most important success factor for the future of the company, all employees will be taken over by Pappas. The company name Auto Marti AG will be retained. This guarantees that nothing will change for you as customers and suppliers of Auto Marti and that your proven contacts will remain.

The Pappas Group is one of the largest and most innovative automobile dealerships in Central Europe and is 100% family-owned. The history of the company is directly linked to its founders, the brothers Georg and Dimitri Pappas, and their achievements in building the group. Currently, the group has 2943 employees (including 377 apprentices) and is represented by more than 40 locations in Austria, Hungary and Bulgaria. 

The owner family (Felix Marti and Julie Marti) will retire from the company after the sale at the end of March 2022. Felix Marti will remain associated with Auto Marti AG - as ambassador, consultant and member of the board of directors of Auto Marti AG.
