IMAP has advised the family-owned MAGENWIRTH Technologies Group on the sale of its subsidiary Powersports MTG, a manufacturer of mechanical and hydraulic brake and clutch systems for motorcycles, to the ADVIK Hi-Tech Pvt Ltd Group ("ADVIK"). The acquisition will provide ADVIK with additional know-how and expertise in high quality safety components for motorcycles, which will also advance the technology in the large commuter motorcycle and scooter segment, both internal combustion and electric powered. The acquisition was executed through ADVIK's Singapore subsidiary, ADVIK Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Powersports MTG GmbH ('Powersports') was created as a spin-off company for the motorcycle safety components business of Gustav Magenwirth GmbH & Co. KG, known as MAGURA, a German company based in Bad Urach, established in 1893 that develops, produces and markets high-quality components with a focus on brake and clutch systems for two-wheelers. The product range includes master brake and clutch cylinders for motorcycles, as well as semi radial, fully radial and axial master brake cylinders. These technologies reduce friction, improve braking sensation and control in different road conditions. Powersports ended 2024 with a strong revenue tending to 30 million Euro.

The ADVIK Group is a leading manufacturer of precision components and systems for automotive markets worldwide and has grown exponentially over the last 20 years. The acquisition expands ADVIK's product range and customer base, aiming to enhance the development of next-gen braking solutions.
