Rui joined Verdant Capital in October 2024, he is a veteran Corporate and Investment Banker with his last role having been within CIB at Citibank. Has wide ranging experience in corporate finance advisory and deal transacting experience covering M&A, equity and debt capital markets, private equity, structured and project finance, leveraged finance,  within South Africa and internationally, this across multiple industries and sectors and through various economic and commodities cycles. Has operated with companies based in Africa, Middle East, Europe, China and the USA. Started his career at PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and acted as a Partner of the firm.
