Vitale assisted Salumificio Fratelli Beretta S.p.A. in the acquisition of Bedogni Egidio S.p.A., an Italian company producing PDO Parma Ham.
Salumificio Fratelli Beretta ("Beretta"), a long-standing Italian company and a global leader in the production of traditional Italian charcuterie products for over 200 years, is an undisputed leader in both the Italian charcuterie products market through the GDO channel (with branded and Private Label products), and a growing international player. Beretta recently acquired 100% of the share capital of Bedogni Egidio S.p.A. ("Bedogni"), an Italian company engaged in the production and commercialization of PDO Parma Ham.
Renowned worldwide for its iconic brands such as Beretta, Wüber, and Salamini Beretta, as well as holding a significant share of the Private Label market, Beretta is the primary exporter of Italian charcuterie products globally, with an approximate turnover of €1 billion.
Bedogni, a historic Italian company based in Langhirano with a turnover of around €11 million, specializes in artisanal production and distribution of Parma raw ham and guanciale, as well as marketing other cured meats under its own brand.
Vitale acted as the financial advisor to Beretta, providing support in structuring the operation, in the due diligence and the negotiation phases.
