Softys acquired Papeleria Panamericana for USD 14 million.

Papelera Panamericana is the market leader of paper tissue products in southern Peru, with a particularly strong presence in the country’s second largest city Arequipa with more than 60% of market share. Its product portfolio includes popular brands such as Ideal and Ego. In 2018, the company reported revenues of around USD 17 million.

Softys is a holding company of Chilean based CMPC, one of the world’s biggest pulp and paper companies. Softys’ hygiene and personal care products are distributed throughout several Latin American countries.
