Des has over 10 year experience in group finance and CFO roles. Des joined in 2014 as Group Financial Controller and in 2017 Des became Chief Financial Officer. Previously Des worked at Deloitte, where he managed the audit engagements of large international and Irish clients within the financial services sector including insurance, investment funds and securitisations. Des also spent time with Pepper Money as a senior risk manager responsible for implementing and overseeing the risk framework of the Firm. Des is a fellow of the Institute of Charted Accountants in Ireland, holds a BA in Economics and Law from NUI Galway and has a postgraduate in accounting from Dublin City University.
